Hearty’s love Aagrah and their delicious, authentic cooking sauces!
The Aagrah story started in 1977 when Mohammed Sabir opened their first restaurant in the small Yorkshire town of Shipley with a dream of recreating food cooked in the homes and villages of Kashmir, India.
As the business grew, they went on to launch their much loved Tarka Cooking sauces in 2011, inspired by their most popular recipes at their restaurants over the years. Created with food lovers in mind, the team at Aagrah believe everyone should have the chance to create mouth-watering authentic curries at home, whatever your cooking ability!
This small family run restaurant chain set out to share their ethos with every cooking sauce they make to introduce the ‘spice of life’ to everyone who tries their delicious product.
Now one of the largest chains of Indian restaurants in the UK, Aagrah have recently celebrated an incredible 45 years of service providing some of the finest Kashmiri cuisine across Yorkshire!

Here are some of our favourites…
A medium heat curry base that is packed with traditional flavours. Make your curry extra special by marinating the chicken in the recipe base over night to guarantee maximum flavour!
An Aagrah speciality and a much loved favourite amongst many guests at the Aagrah chain for over 30 years. A Hydrabadi is a creamy, aromatic sauce that is a little milder than a traditional Balti and has a medium to hot heat level.
The Aagrah Kashmiri Korma is a traditional take on the “British” Korma with a delicate hint of spice and packed full of rich and creamy flavours. Ideal for those who love curries without too much spice!
