Join in the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch!

At the end of each January, the RSPB host their Big Garden Birdwatch weekend! This is a huge citizen science project that asks volunteers to log the birds visiting their garden in a one-hour timeframe on the last weekend in January every year and more than half a million people take part each year, with numbers continuing to grow!

If you’d like to be a part of it, you’ll need to put out feeders now so birds are attracted to your garden and get used to feeding from your supply. Follow our guide to feeing the birds by clicking the links below.

When you sign up, you’ll receive your information plus useful guides then, over the weekend of the 27th – 29th January, dedicate just one hour of your time to count the birds you see in your garden and submit the results. It’s that easy!
